That's what Bejuba! means, according to Tatiana Kober's niece, Alena. When the 9 year old (now 28!!) created the word as a way to express herself and to cheer on her favourite hockey team, it was clear to Tatiana that there was no other word that would so aptly define the name of the company she was about to form.
Founded in 2003, Bejuba! Entertainment is a leading executive production and distribution company representing producers from around the world to bring top quality children's entertainment properties to the global marketplace. Bejuba! specializes in distribution, rights management, co-productions, financing (closing-gap financing) third-party acquisitions, licensing and merchandising, in Canada, the U.S. and internationally. The company maintains a growing catalogue of award-winning children's and family oriented animated and live-action programs. Bejuba!'s partners include Goddard Brown (Canada), Collingwood and Co. Productions (UK), Lupus Films (UK), and Giggle Garage Animation (Singapore).
The company boasts over 700 half hours of programming.
Tatiana started her career working in production at TVOntario in Toronto, Canada. After 6 years, she moved to Japan and began working on the business side of the industry at NHK. There, in the mid-nineties, she secured co-productions in the HD Hi-Vision dept. After 2 years, she moved to England where she lived for 7 years and concentrated on the kids' market. She worked in distribution and financing at BBC Worldwide, where she specialized in the German market and was later named the children's genre specialist. At Endemol UK she was brought in to spearhead Endemol's thrust into the children's market but left when she became the Managing Director of Egmont Imagination UK. Egmont Imagination UK was a subsidary of Egmont, the largest children's publisher in Europe. Here, Tatiana lead the distribution team and bulit the catalogue. The world market fell under her remit and she was instrumental in placing and financing series like "Lizzie McGuire," "Paz the Penguin" for Discovery Kids US, and "The Fairytaler", a Hans Christian Andersen FairyTale anthology.
Tatiana graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts (B.A.A.) in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University in Toronto. She specialized in children's media, and in documentary production.
